  • Man, woman arrested after shots fired at repo man

    http://www.commercialappeal.com/news...380121441.html

A man and a woman were arrested after police said shots were fired at a repo man who was trying to tow away their vehicle.
Travis Williamson, 33, is charged with attempted first-degree murder, carjacking and employing a firearm during the commission to commit a dangerous felony. Jerricka Jones, 25, is charged with carjacking.
A tow-truck driver told police on April 24 he went to a home to repossess a 2008 Chevy Impala. In the arrest affidavit, police did not list an address of where the incident occurred.
The driver said after he hooked the car up, a man later identified as Williamson approached him. As the two were talking, another person came up and handed Williamson a shotgun, which he then pointed at the driver’s head and ordered him to unhook the car, according to the arrest affidavit.
When the driver refused, he said Williamson fired a shot into the tire of the car. He then ordered the tow truck driver again to unhook the car.
This time the driver unhooked the car, and said that is when a woman, later identified as Jones came out of the house and drove the car away.
The tow truck driver said as he drove off, Williamson fired two shots that hit the window and door of his vehicle.
Williamson and Jones were identified from a police photo lineup and arrested Wednesday.
Williamson will be in court Friday and remains in jail on no bond. Jones will also be in court Friday and remains in jail on a $100,000 bond.
