Troopers: Truck owner answered repo men with gun
SEWARD State Police arrested a town man Tuesday who allegedly fired a rifle at two people attempting to repossess his car. Warren Tucker, 32, was at his home on Route 165 when two employees of a repossession company walked up to his attached garage to repossess his pick-up truck around 10:14 p.m., troopers said.
The employees heard shots and fled to a nearby house. Troopers from two nearby barracks responded, and after a 45-minute standoff Tucker surrendered after contacting police dispatchers.
Troopers said they also recovered a Winchester rifle from Tuckers house. He was charged with second-degree menacing, a misdemeanor. He will appear in Seward Town Court on Oct.22.
