A Lake Elsinore man was arrested after a repossession agent reported being threatened with a gun while doing his job, police said.
On Wednesday night, a 38-year old repossession agent went to a home in the 33000 block of Windward Way to repossess a vehicle, Sgt. John Carlberg said in a news release.
He knocked on the front door and when Carlos Sanchez 34, answered, he had a black semi-automatic handgun, Carlberg said. Sanchez pointed the gun at the repossession agent’s chest and ordered him to leave, he said.
The repossession agent left and called police, he said.
Police officers used the public address system from a police car to communicate with Sanchez, who turned himself in, Carlberg said.
Police subsequently found a handgun inside the home, he said.
Sanchez was booked into the Southwest Detention Center on suspicion of assault with a deadly weapon, Carlberg said.
