    SPARTANBURG, SC (FOX Carolina) -

Spartanburg County Sheriff's Office deputies said a woman was arrested after she assaulted the man trying to repossess her car.

The suspect, Tiffany Neely, became violent with an employee from Mission Towing and Recovery, according to deputies.

Kristina Ray of Mission Towing and Recovery said the company had been looking for Neely's SUV and found it hidden in her backyard on Ark Main Street.

Ray said her husband, who drives the tow truck, hooked the SUV up and was about to pull off with it when Neely came walking up and told him to get away from her car.

"Next thing you know she is trying to hurt her vehicle," Ray said.

She said Neely then turned on her husband. Ray said Neely attacked him with a knife, hitting him in the face above his eye, before pulling out a gun. Deputies said the victim was wounded by the handle of the knife.

"It's just a vehicle, just let it go, just pay your bills, it's not that big of a deal," said Ray.

Neely was charged with assault and battery third-degree and was released on $2,000 bond.

This was the second run-in Mission Towing had with a repossession in a few months. In July, they shot cell phone video of a woman damaging a car they were trying to repossess, and said damaged their tow truck in the process. Ray said in both cases, violence was unnecessary.

"People don't realize that if you will be in good communication with your lien holder, they will work with you," Ray said.

Ray said she is thankful her husband was not more seriously injured.
