SAN ANTONIO — Police are searching for a 17-year-old after a Wednesday standoff at a Northeast Side mobile home.

Authorities said the teen barricaded himself in a mobile home in the 6700 block of Walzem Road after firing at least one shot into the air after a repo man arrived to his home.

After more than a two hour standoff involving the Bexar County SWAT team, deputies entered the home but found no one inside. Authorities believe the teen escaped through a hole in the floor, said Bexar County Sheriff's Office Spokesman James Keith.

The home is surrounded by brush, through which the suspect could have concealed his escap, he said.

Authorities know the identity of the suspect and have obtained a warrant for his arrest, Keith said. When caught, he will face at least one charge of deadly conduct and other charges could follow.

Keith said the towing company still managed to repossess the vehicle.

A school at the Christian World Worship Center, located behind the mobile home park, was placed on lockdown Wednesday afternoon as authorities attempted to detain the suspect.

Parents were able to pick their children up from the school, but students are not able to leave without a parent.

The Bexar County Sheriff's Office was notified around 11:15 a.m., Keith said.

Preliminary details are that no one was hit by the gunfire.

More than 10 police vehicles worked on the scene, as well as a helicopter surrounding the area.

A call to the school was not immediately returned.
