  • 13 Firearms, Body Armor Seized in incident with repo agent

(BROWN COUNTY, TX) - Several firearms were seized from a convicted felon along with ammunition and body armor after the Brown County Sheriff's Department served a search warrant in a rural region of the county.

Court documents say deputies went to a home on the 5300 bock of FM 2490 on Wednesday to serve the warrant because a resident, Lynn Isbell, 34, allegedly pointed a pistol at a repossession agent on November 21st when the agent tried to repossess Isbell's vehicle.

Authorities arrived and arrested Isbell on a warrant for aggravated assault by threatening with a deadly weapon then proceeded to execute the search warrant on his property because they were looking for the handgun and ammunition used to threaten the repossession agent.

The handgun was recovered along with eleven rifles, a second handgun, and military-style body armor, according to the documents which say hundreds of rounds of ammunition were recovered as well. Methamphetamine and baggies with methamphetamine were found inside the residence along with marijuana.

Two other residents, Amanda Isbell and Dexter Kyle Bolds, were arrested and faced with possession charges and two counts of endangering a child because two small children were at the home.

Lynn Isbell is facing the same charges along with unlawful possession of a firearm by a felon. He's being held in the Brown County Jail on bonds totaling over $300,000.
