Does anyone have a contact at BOA in charge of vendors? Or do they use a forwarder for their good repos.

  • #2
They use a forwarder for boats, RV, 5th wheel, travel trailers. I believe you can get direct with them but it is a pain in the xxxxx. They or maybe I should say they used to require a lot of insurance, bond, and they wanted you to have certain equipment. After all of that they didn't give much work.

They do use forwarders. I used to know, but can't remember who. There is a contact number in our lender directory with 2 contact names.

NV could not find it, so maybe others are not aware of the search function versatility. If you listed your company with us, you have full access tot he lender directory and its sales force functions. If you type in America and then chose bank as a category, you will get 80 results with B o A being on page 1.

The list can be searched by name, partial name and several lender categories (Bank, CI, nationwide lender, specialty lending, heavy equipment, Forwarders, and even BHPH's). It can also be searched by state, zip code and area code.

I think the neatest thing is that you can put a note on each contact on who you spoke with and what the results of the sales call were. Then you can go back and search your notes to do follow up calls.

We are going to add some more features to it, fine tune how it works and add thousands of more contacts to the list in the coming weeks and months.

Everyone should keep calling them and continually explain the benefits of agent direct relationships - knowing an agent directly, building a relationship on trust, loyalty and long term use, helping build American through supporting a small business, no middleman, no Chinese telephone communication channels where updates and info is lost or never given etc.

Maybe they need to hear it 10 or 20 times a day for it to sink in.

If the past few years has proved anything about the big banks, and BofA especially, it's that they are stupid. They continue to make bad choices in business and feel they are too big for it to matter. I had to give a rental property back a few years ago when everything tanked, B of A wouldn't even consider the short sale offer I had gotten. After 6 months the buyer backed out. I had no choice but to let it go, they sold the house a year later for 80k less than the offer I had received. This has been the case all over the country, think of how much money they have lost.
I found a wells fargo car a month ago they had been after for a year. I'm not approved with them (not by my choice), they would not sign me up and refused to pay a finders fee. They would rather lose this car forever (they were not going to find it, i promise), than pay me $100-200.
It just shows how stupid these big banks are because they won't look at the big picture.
So thinking we can convince B of A that they will recover more cars with better agents and better service.... I'll see it when I believe it.

Come to think of it I was burned horrible about 5 years ago from RS on 2 b of a accounts. They approved the res fees and found the cars 6 hours a way in Whiteriver... Got my check 2 months later and never paid any of the approved miles or res fee that was approved by them . They blamed it on BofA..

                          Boo!

Once in awhile, a number changes. We are currently working on a flag system where members can click a flag when the contact info is no longer current so we can update it by getting the right info.

This is their auto repossession department number NV. I just called it and it is working and I will update this in the lender directory.

                            877-243-5796 option 1. (closed today)

An additional number where I spoke to a Linda said that B o A is no (mostly) longer going agent direct is 866-731-2685. She said she did not know which forwarders B o A uses as she is just the weekend person, but said that info can be attained by calling Monday - Friday.

watch the financial happenings....b of a is tanking....they got caught trying to lay off a trill or so of bad loans that did not get reported on the first go round....they were trying to lay it off on a company similar to freddie/fannie thats federally insured....i'm betting they'll get bought up soon enough....personally, they have my # if they want cars picked up in my mkt.....i'd rather build a hot rod than beg them for a fleeting chance
